The main objective of "Refreshing in Grace" was to create a space that reflects the houseowner's needs and expectations while maintaining a refreshing and elegant style. The designer carefully examined every layout and incorporated light-colored wood veneers and textured sandstone boards to achieve a cohesive and visually pleasing aesthetic.
One of the standout features of this design is the integration of a temperature, humidity, and ventilation control system. This system ensures optimal living conditions by maintaining constant levels of temperature, humidity, and oxygen. Additionally, it removes harmful particles from the air, providing a safe and allergy-free environment for the family.
The design also incorporates unique elements that add a touch of sophistication to the space. The TV wall, adorned with natural stone, creates a glossy and textured backdrop. The peacock blue and Hermes orange coffee tables in the public area add a pop of color and enliven the space.
Despite its elegance, "Refreshing in Grace" also prioritizes functionality. The design includes ample storage space to accommodate the houseowner's needs for their job. The light-color wood veneers with refreshing textures not only contribute to the overall aesthetic but also provide a practical solution for the storage requirements.
Throughout the project, the designer faced various challenges, including the installation of the integrated control system above the ceiling. This system needed to fulfill both lighting and ventilation functions while maintaining a seamless and visually appealing design. Through innovative problem-solving, the designer successfully overcame these obstacles and achieved a harmonious integration of technology and design.
The "Refreshing in Grace" project was completed in April 2020 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It encompasses a 165 square meter space that showcases the designer's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to creating a refreshing and elegant living environment.
With its unique design features, innovative technology, and attention to detail, "Refreshing in Grace" has been recognized for its excellence. The project was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. This prestigious accolade acknowledges the project's well-designed, practical, and innovative nature, as well as its contribution to a better world.
